Crepes and Cones

In addition to developing the brand and creating the first Crepes and Cones site in Croydon, South London, Gallarii was tasked with devising a concept for the restaurant, focused on desserts with some enticing food options. Taking in to consideration their combined market reach, we turned our focus to the younger crowd. Inspired by the very city and 'streets' the duo started their careers in, we grouped together some of Londons most recognisable urban features which included a bus stop, concrete stairs and double yellow lines.
The bar area drew inspiration from a well known British pub and the ceiling in the private dining space, inspired by a zebra crossing. The restrooms mimic a dingy alleyway with each cubicle designed representative of a traditional public toilet with victorian inspired mosaic tiles. Bespoke signage, furniture and lighting transformed this space into one that has great character and ambience.
